3. Daughter Surprised at 10-Year Sentence of Mother in China 10.21.09: On the same day Pang’s mother was sentenced, her sister Cao Junfeng, and two other Falun Gong practitioners were sentenced at the Hanting District Court to nine years, and another practitioner was sentenced to four years.

My Mother and Sister, Prisoners of China's Communist Party 10.13.09: On June 4, exactly 20 years to the day after the massacre at Tiananmen Square, my mother and sister were taken from their home in Shanghai and sent to jail for no other reason than the fact that they practice the Falun Gong faith. They still haven't been charged with a crime or brought to trial (even if they do get a trial, it would be a farce).

5. Parade Celebrates Falun Dafa 09.28.09: About 200 practitioners from across 12 Midwest states joined the parade. The rhythmic sounds of traditional Chinese drums was a sharp contrast to a group of women, dressed in white, who solemnly carried framed pictures of practitioners who were tortured to death or murdered by authorities in China, solely because they practiced Falun Dafa.

Mr. Li Hongzhi Recognized as an ‘Outstanding Spiritual Leader’ 09.28.09: A packed ballroom of over 200 human rights defenders and supporters joined the Asia-Pacific Human Rights Foundation awards ceremony to acknowledge the efforts of nine individuals Saturday evening, Sept. 26. The ceremony was held in Baldwin Park, 15 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Award recipients came from as far as China to receive the honor.

In China, Families of the Persecuted Speak Out 08.17.09: Family members of 56 Falun Gong practitioners in a jail in Heilongjiang Province, China, have published their complaint to the Chinese authorities online, demanding legal compensation and for perpetrators to be held responsible for alleged crimes.
