Falun Gong Practitioners are Peaceful and Law abiding

BANGKOK – (FDTI) Falun Gong practitioners do not have a plan to protest during the APEC meeting. No key members have entered, or are planning to come to Thailand, and there are no plans for protests during this summit. We have no reports of 200-300 practitioners supposedly coming for the event as has been reported in some media.

Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand have been constantly in contact with police officers and wish to convey this message to the Thai government. Due to the misapprehension that Falun Gong practitioners are against the Chinese government, practitioners are asking to meet with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, including officers who are responsible for administering APEC, to explain about the true nature of Falun Gong. However, there has been no response from the Government at the time of writing

Falun Gong practitioners are peaceful and not against any government including the Chinese government. We are merely concerned about the very serious violations of the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
