Westminster, London, United Kingdom —
Activities exposing the ongoing persecution against Falun Gong in China, held July 15 & 16, in front of the Parliament building and the Office of the Prime Minister, drew support from several Members of Parliament (MPs).
The Lord Hylton, a House of Lords member, attended the activities stating, “for a long time, I have been concerned about human rights in China. You are right, on demanding those responsible for terrible abuses be prosecuted and brought to justice. My best wishes!”
Daniel Zeichner, MP for Cambridge, also made an appearance saying, “I’m very concerned about what’s going on. From what I heard, the persecution is ongoing. Especially the abuse of organs—deeply troubling.”
Meanwhile, Ian Murray, Labor MP for Edinburgh South, and Michael Ellis, MP for Northampton North, sent letters of support.
Throughout the event, British Falun Gong practitioners raised banners and displayed photos of victims that died as a result of the persecution. Many Londoners and tourists came to learn about Falun Gong and to sign a petition calling for the persecution to end.
