The Fate of Falun Gong

by Kristy Angley Marett

I sit beside my open door,
The sunlight streaming in,
A gentle breeze upon my face,
The whisper of a friend.

From my warm and cozy room,
I gaze upon the sphere.
I say a little silent prayer,
So grateful to be here.

I wonder how this world of ours
Could go so very wrong.
Tell me why our friends must die
To practice Falun Gong.

I wonder how did this arrive,
And how did we get here,
Where mankind could create a world
Of torture, death, and fear.

When tyrants murder citizens
For practicing their faith,
The world becomes a dark abyss
Of wickedness and hate.

We who fight for freedom,
We must not be too late!
When tyranny descends our doors,
What will we await?

We sit here in our cozy rooms,
While half a world away,
Innocents will fall and die
For love and peace and grace.
