May 13 marks World Falun Dafa Day. As Falun Gong practitioners around the world this year celebrated the day their practice was first taught in public, an astounding number of government leaders throughout the world showed their support by issuing proclamations, letters, and greetings.
The official recognition came from city and town dignitaries and bodies as large as national assemblies. The growing wave of official support for Falun Gong contrasts with the continued attempts of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to defame Falun Gong so as to justify its brutal persecution against the group.
Falun Gong is practiced peacefully by large groups of people and in at least 70 countries. The government leaders and citizens of countries throughout the world who have come into contact with Falun Gong practitioners have gotten to know the true face of the practice and how the practitioners strive to behave following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They put no credibility in the lies spread by the CCP. Falun Gong practitioners are accepted as part of the mainstream and government leaders throughout the world have recognized this.
The proclamations have come from a variety of sources from California to New York, from Australia to Europe, and beyond.
